My take on Milan Fashion Week

The Milan Fashion Week (fall/winter 2012-2013) just ended, let’s take a look on what was runing the runway… or not!

The white with a very bright pop of color at Blumarine. It always feels good to have colors during the winter

There was a LOT of black and gold at Dolce&Gabbana… I did love their collection even if it had a really present « baroque » touch to all the looks.

Last year Marc Jacobs launched the idea with Kate Moss at Louis Vuitton, and this year it’s Dsquared² that makes their models smoke on the runway, ALL OF THEM!

Gosh, I LOVED how Gucci bleached his model’s eyebrows for the show

And I do believe it makes Anja Rubik look even more beautiful with her eyebrows like that!

The big buzz around Jil Sander was all about how Raf Simons was leaving… And I don’t understand how it doesn’t seem to bother anybody that it totally looked like a spring/summer collection! I mean, as I said, I’m totally for colorful clothes during winter, even white, but I’m not sure about pastels colors…

Prints with prints guys! The game is on and Prada won! And if I were you, I’d check out the Marni x H&M collection coming out March 8th, full of beautiful prints…

And finally, the appearance of Naomi Campbell at Roberto Cavalli

There are many other things to be seen about Milan Fashion Week, but you’ll find them in my future articles about the trends for next winter, stay tuned ;)

Shirts on top

Here we go with the outfits of my weekends, both with shirts.

That’s pretty much all I want to wear lately; shirts, blouses… and let me tell you it’s not over with the shirts yet! There are still a lot of them for this summer (especially white ones) and any colors for next winter. It works also with PRINTS! And I love it! And if you want to go with prints all the way, wear print on the bottom as well!

Back to the outfit, I wore

On the left we have my friday outfit: ZARA demin shirt – H&M pants – FOREVER21 necklace & belt. I wore my new pair of sandals from ZARA (photos of the sandals coming asap) and when my feet were hurting too much I wore flats from Steve Madden

On the right it’s my outfit from saturday: an oversized shirt which is my boyfriend’s, and it’s from BELLEROSE, 7FOR ALL MANKIND jeans.

Oh, and just for the fun, here is my very needed accessory for Nadia’s Summer party/bday party!

Do you wear shirts a lot? Buttoned up all the way?

Oscars 2012 – The Red Carpet

Us usual, I like to give my Do’s and Donts from the Red Carpets, especially from the Oscars. What’s there for us this year? Who will have to kill their stylist?

Let’s check it out…

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
Angie, what’s up with your leg?

Bérénice Bejo in Elie Saab Couture
Very chic, she chose THE color of this summer, and it matches her hair perfectly. 10/10

Cameron Diaz in Gucci Premiere
Cameron being so natural as always, but with a beautiful gown. Great fit, classic on the top, less on the bottom, perfect balance. Great job!

Ellie Kemper in Armani Privé
Since WHEN do we match our hair to a similar color dress? This is sooo not working for me, BO-RING

Esperanza Sparlding
Young lady, you look just fabulous. AND I LOVE THAT HAIRDO ON A RED CARPET!

Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford
Good job Gwyneth, you’re one of my favorites of the evening. It’s clean, it’s chic and minimalist, but still it has some wow factor.

Jean Dujardin in Lavin & Alexandra Lamy in Azzaro
This dress is GORGEOUS

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Jennifer being SO J.LO right there. This is way too much for me to handle

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton
Michelle being as cute and as perfectly fashionable as she always is!

Princess Charlene de Monaco in Arkis & Do I need to say?
She looks pretty good, but seeing them there is just a joke to me

Rosie Byrne in Vivienne Westwood
This would have been TOTALLY different without that hairdo. I love it! It gives an edge to this look

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa
First of all, I don’t really like a mix of white and black on a dress. Second of all, WHATS GOING ON WITH THE SEAWEEDS???

George Clooney & Stacy Keibler in Marchesa
Stacy, you did it! You stole the role of the Oscar’s gold statuette! Thief!

Virginia Madsen in Kevin Hall
By now, you guys must know how I HATE this kind of fabric, so please do me a favor and stop hurting my eyes by wearing such awefulness, GRACIAS

Sacha Baron Cohen
I do believe Sacha rocked the Red Carpet, what do you think?

Let me introduce to you…

My very fashionable sister!

I know you’ve already met her yesterday in the video, but I just wanted to share with you the day I spent with her yesterday.

It looked like a total relooking and it was so much fun. We first did her hair, then went shopping and really went CRAZY!

First stop at H&M

Second stop at Zara

This was definitly my favorite outfit of the day! Total look Zara kids new collection

Zara kids skirt in sales: 4€!

That Zara kids jacket (around 20€) was one of my favorite pieces of the day.

And after such a exausting day, what else than a delicious raspberry milkshake at Café de la Presse?

I know this is totally different than what I show you in general but I have to admit I had so much fun playing dressing up with her that I thought it was fun to show you. She was really into it, I even have to tell you that the glasses she wears in the pictures are mine and totally fake but she loved to wear them all day long.

I recognize myself a lot in her!

See you next week for some outfit picture, enjoy your week end guys!

xx

Benefit Giveway – the result

As you can see in the video, the two winners were picked by an innocent hand – my sister :)

Fall/Winter 2012-2013: The Trends – Episode 1: Gloves

Temperly London

Looking at fashion shows, we can already see some futur trends popping up. At least, some of them seem to stay persistent with different designers.

The first one that I have already seen a lot, and with any kind of outfit is the gloves.
Gloves in leather or cotton, in black or in colors, short or long, really any kind of gloves.

I always found gloves to be pretty elegant, but the way I see it for next winter can be pretty eclectic, and I like that idea.

Take a look at how designers incorporated them into their looks:

This weekend’s party outfits

Hi guys!

How was your weekend? What did you do?

For me it was a pretty busy one; PIASnight on friday night, then a birthday party saturday night.

The PIASnight was SO great, I got to see Two Many DJ’s, which was AWESOME!

I couldn’t stop dancing, even though I heard they can do better than what they did friday… whatever!

I was wearing my brand new Zara t shirt that was so hard to find… it just wasn’t in store yet! But some kind women from Zara got it from me in the stock, how nice was that? And I’m in love with this t-shirt.

Paired white skinny jeans from H&M and a FOREVER21 belt. I finished this look with red Converse All Stars and my American College red&white Teddy.

Saturday night, I wore my new pants from Zara that I love sooo much, even though my boyfriend asked me if I was wearing my sweatpants… haha

I paired my new ZARA pants with a ZARA shirt, ZARA leather perfecto, black fur jacket from an unknown brand, FOREVER21 necklace, Tiany Kirilove x Vero Moda clutch and ZARA pumps.

Here is a closer look at my new manucure I did for saturday night, I tried on my ESSIE « Fidji » color, and I have to say I’m really happy with the result, what do you think?

I seriously apologize for the bad outfit picture, I didn’t have to time to take better ones.

Hope you like the outfits though!

Sick of winter? Let’s get ready for summer…

From: The Sartorialist, Jak&Jill, Caroline Mode,…

What color did you say?

I was never into white shoes (unless for sneakers of course). Besides sneakers, NO white shoes, of any kind. And certainly not white boots!

I always found that to be vulgar, especially if it had a pointed toe.

But believe it or not, something is happening to me… it first started with the Isabel Marant fringed boots:

YES. WHITE BOOTS. I still can not believe this myself.

Then, came the fashion week of september with the Spring/Summer 2012 collections:

Alexander Wang

Givenchy

Louis Vuitton

White + pointed toe. Here I was looking at those, NOT finding them vulgar (even far from that). With months, I couldn’t stop thinking about all these white shoes.

Then, I found some white beauties on Zara.com:

And there I had to admit it, I am actually falling for white shoes!

Do I need help? Is that normal?

And what about you, could you put your mind into wearing white shoes?
