Rainy Days

Hello guys!

I don’t think we need to talk more about the weather, it’s depressing enough already.

Here’s my take on what to wear on a rainy day

Wearing: ZARA denim shirt & jeans – MANGO jumper – CONVERSE sneakers – ESSIE FIJI nailpolish
(I was wearing a vintage parka as a jacket)

Have a great weekend!

USA Hotspot #8 & #9: C Wonder & Kiehl’s

Hello guys!

This will probably be my last American Hotspots post (try saying that out loud very fast… just kidding). I really hope you enjoyed them (and try them out!)

C WONDER

C Wonder is located in Soho, but not in the main street (Broadway). I’ve discovered it in october 2011, even though I’ve been to NYC plenty of times before.

The style is very east coast/new england (same spirit as J. Crew for example), I love it! Very colorful, full of prints,…

The shop is amazingly beautiful, and you can find clothes, accessories, bags, furnitures,…

C Wonder is in the same price range as J. Crew, maybe even a little lower.

KIEHL’S

I guess you all know Kiehl’s, the beauty product brand. I’ve known the brand for many years, but only tried it a few months ago. I have to say I was convinced by some of their products, but they were kind of expensive to buy in Brussels.

I got interested by the brand, read their story and learned they started in Manhattan. As soon as I read that, I knew I wanted to discover the shop, the actual, the first Kiehl’s shop that had ever existed (and maybe take home some of their products since it’s cheaper than buying it in Brussels).

The shop is really big and looks like a pharmacy (like all of their shops), and even the retailers are dressed like pharmacist, it’s kind of funny.

They have like a thousand of different products, for every part of your body from head to toe, and your hair, obviously.

The decoration of the shop is really amazing! Take a look at it.

I went home with a hair mask Superbly Smoothing Argan Hair Pak , I decided not to go for more since I had already bought a ton of Bumble&Bumble products (which are my all time favorite)

Swinging in Central Park

Hello guys!

Today an outfit post from NYC!

I didn’t do my usual posing (which is so amazing that I’m sure you miss it already), the pictures were taken when I was swinging in central park… Yes swinging!
When was the last time you did that? Because honestly, I completely forgot how fun it was! Try it sometimes :)

Let me introduce to you my bestfriend Molly. She’s been my bestfriend for almost six years now, even though we live thousands of miles away from each other. She also was an amazing photographer during this all trip.

Wearing: H&M jeans – THAKOON FOR TARGET tee – ZARA necklace – ESSENTIEL sandals

Do you like my outfit?

Streetstyle USA

Hello guys!

While in the USA, I took some streetstyle photos. There aren’t so much of them, but the few that I have are really worth it.

I really whish we could see more of these kind of looks around Brussels. How about you?

Spotted in the subway. I love the combo of her printed dress, her sandals (so pretty!) and her amazing necklace

Spotted in Georgetown (DC). I took this picture because these girls represent american college students SO WELL. These are  typical outfits you’ll run into in American schools/colleges/universities.

Spotted in NYC. AWESOME look! Hello Céline…

Spotted in Soho. How often do you run into someone with such an open back in the street in the middle of the day? #onlyinNYC
I LOVE IT!

Spotted in NYC. Relly love that printed pants/skirt

Spotted at Union Square. How about walking around NYC in your underwear (almost)?

Spotted in Soho. Love those two printed shorts

Spotted on Madison Ave. Love this casual chic attitude

Spotted in Mc Carren Park – Brooklyn. This is such a typical look from Brooklyn! Kind of bobo chic/rock’n'roll.

Did you like the looks I spotted?

H&M made a very happy Lulu!

Yesterday I did a bit of sale shopping. I didn’t have much hope to make a great deal, since the sale started not even a week ago.

And then I when to H&M and saw that

I think my mouth dropped when my eyes saw the sale price. HELLO MARNIxH&M JACKET FOR 20€ INSTEAD OF 200€!

Let me tell you that I couldn’t believe it, and still can’t.

This was definitly one of the pieces I really like from the Marni for H&M collab, but was way too expensive for me.

Well I guess that’s not a problem anymore. And now I want to wear it every second of everyday!

So this is what I am wearing today: My brand new Mango white jeans, another sale purchase I made yesterday. I was looking for a new pair of white jeans for sooo long, the perfect fit, the perfect waist, not too high, not too low, the good skinny without being too tight. My awesome new Marni for H&M jacket. Forever21 basic t shirt, which are my all time favorite (I have them in SO many colors), I sometimes even buy twice the same color because I wear them all the time. And they only cost about 5€! My nOir Jewelry necklace gifted by Village Verve. And my converse all stars.

Sorry for the late post guys.

Have an AWESOME weekend, xx

USA Hotspot #6 & #7: Samourai Mama & Union Pool

Here are two places that I have tried on my second night in NYC.
It’s actually in Brooklyn, Williamsburg to be precize.

First one is a delicious restaurant, and second an AWESOME bar.

SAMOURAI MAMA

Samourai Mama is a japanese noodle restaurant. If you’re from Brussels, you probably know KOKUBAN, well it’s pretty much the same.

They serve noodles in a miso inspired broath, either hot or cold. Some dishes are also with the noodles and the broath served separatly.

In Brussels my two favorite dishes are gyoza’s as starters, and then the Karaage Ramen (fried chicken in a hot bowl of broath with noodles).

At Samourai Mama I went for gyoza’s (OF COURSE) and then a bowl of hot noodles in a miso inspired broath with shrimp tempura, SO YUMMY!

Gyoza’s

my dish

The restaurant is very nice inside; it has a terrace (always nice in NYC), some booth and a big common table (just like Kokuban!)

Super cool place to eat in Brooklyn, delicious and not overexpensive (same price range as Kokuban)

Samourai Mama
205 Grand Street
Brooklyn, NY
(718) 599-6161

UNION POOL

This bar is seriously awesome. The atmosphere and the people are great, the place looks beautiful (seriously, HOW COOL is the terrace, right?), they have a taco’s truck on the terrace (super AWESOME), and if all of that wasn’t enough, it’s really cheap!

The price range for a drink (alcohol + soda) is 6$! Can you believe this? Not only it’s cheap, but for NYC it’s super duper cheap!

Here are pictures from the night I was there. Sorry for the bad quality, I only had my iPhone.

The bar is right by the subway station Metropolitan/Lorimer St (G&L line)

Union Pool
484 Union Ave
Brooklyn, NY

These are definitly two of my FAVORITE places in NYC, so if you pass by, you should definitly try them out!

I would switch this for a bikini

Hello guys!

Sorry for not posting much, I’ve been really busy AND moved out from my appartement yesterday.

Did you have a good weekend? I spent mine partying, it was a lot of fun.

Here is the outfit I wore thursday for the Big You event in Antwerp. It was SUCH a hot day, so I decided to wear a short skirt and really light silk blouse.

Do you like it?

It was such a warm day that all I wanted was to wear a bikini, but since that wasn’t an option, this outfit made the trick.

Wearing: ZARA blouse – UNKNOWN BRAND skirt (found at Buffalo Exchange) – VINTAGE blet – ALDO shoes – RAYBAN sunglasses – H&M bag
