Winter Inspiration

Recently I was invited to see the future collection of New Look and H&M for next winter.

Usually I wait a little bit to show these to you, but according to the weather we have now, the timing is perfect!

I was never really into the Kenzo tiger sweat shirts, but I like this one, in a more discrete kind of way

Sorry for the blurryness, but I love the hippie vibe of this skirt!

We never have too many beanies, do we?

I gladly recieved the pink beanie, and I love it so much. I’ve worn it practicly ever day since, but the sad part of this story is… my iPhone had a bug this morning (thank god I was able to upload all these previous photos), and it seems that all the content I had on it is going to be erased… including the uber cool photo of me rocking that pink new look beanie.

If you want to have a minute of silence, I could just encourage you to do so.

Have a good day anyway!

Daydreaming

I am daydreaming, all day, everyday, all week long, of summer days and light outfits.

I want sun, I want a little glow on my face, I want to be able to wear my sunglasses.

But most of all, I am daydreaming of hanging around in the sun in the perfect little white dress

LWD - LFC

So this is what we’ll be talking about today: the perfect, yet impossible to find, little white dress.

Though, I was able to find inspiration of it

LWD - LFC

I’m definitly looking for that kind of flowy shape in the bottom. And LOVE the lace details

LWD - LFC

The perfect shape, the perfect lenght. Love the spagetti straps

LWD - LFC

Maybe a bit too many details, but I kind of like it too…

LWD - LFC

Love how simple this one is

LWD - LFC

Very big cleavage, but such a beautiful dress! And I’m SO going for that flower crown as well!

And this is how I would want to wear it: with heeled sandals and a parka or a leather perfecto

LWD - LFC

AND a flower crown… Obviously!

So if you guys spot pretty white dresses while shopping, LET ME KNOW!

Leather Pants

By -3 degrees (or minus ANY degree when it comes to below zero), my major goal, sartorialy speaking, is to be warm (that’s obvious) and comfortable.

Not looking like a walking blanket is a plus, but let’s be honest, not always easy to proceed.

Yesterday, I was randomly looking at streetstyle pictures from NYFW, and that’s when I came across pictures of Emmanuelle Alt (Editor in Chief of Vogue FR)

Emmanuelle Alt NYFW

A grey jumper, a slouchy leather pants, a belt and a fur. Simple, but pretty, fashionable and easy.

I got inspired and reproduced the outfit in my own way: a grey men’s jumper, slouchy leather pants and a belt. And it works!

I added my good old fashioned Palladium, because they work their magic to: brave to cold AND the snow, and they add that little 90′s touch that I have been brought to love so much lately. Over the jumper I went for a blazer rather than fur. It was just more appropriate for today.

Wearing: ZARA MEN jumper – H&M pants (old) & belt – FOREVER21 blazer – PALLADIUM sneakers

Btw, I thought I’d just hide my morning face of your sight, on my deep concern of your well being my dear readers.

All about Marie

Regular question being asked: where do you get your inspiration
Regular answer: EVERYWHERE

Truth is, I really do. What I haven’t mentioned though, there are a few particular places and people. Or maybe I have.

Anyways, today I want to introduce you to Marie.

2906981377

Marie Courroy is a very fun and sparkly (I think it represents her a lot) lady, the one behind the eshop Modetrotter.com
If you read the « about me » section, you’ll learn that I had an internship at that very same eshop a few years ago. It didn’t last long, but it doesn’t matter because I am happy to have discover the behind the scene, even for a few days. And for meeting Marie, which is a truely inspirational lady.

She lives in Paris but doesn’t look like Parisian girls = she doesn’t dress in grey/black/rock’n'roll – Zadig&Voltaire like/bobo/perfect look/size zero/youknowwhatImean?

She is fun and colorfull, wears crazy prints and vintage dresses, and wears bright red lipstick to go to work. Don’t we love that?

No better way to get to know her than with a video

One of the things I really love about her, is the fact that she’s not afraid of making mistakes when shes dresses up. She’s just having fun, and that’s what « fashion » is all about for me.

Wanna know more about Marie? Find interviews of her HERE and HERE

So, what do you think of her style? Pretty cool uh?

And where DO YOU get your inspiration?

*Inspiration Friday*

Hey there!

How are you holidays going? On my side there’s a lot of resting at home, cooking watching tons of movies and series…and work! A few weeks ago, while I was sick and stuck at home (and really into spending time in my new computer…) I started to use pinterest more than usual. I find it had even more advantages than the ones I knew before… Of course it’s a great way for inspirations, but also a place to keep your favorite recipes, cool DIY, and much more. And I have to admit, since then I have kept on using it on a very regular basis.

I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite pins, which also really inspire me

These are of course all about fashion, but I also pin about food, home interiors, travels, beauty,… You can find all of my boards right here!

Have a great weekend! xx

Daily Inspiration

Hey guys!

I LOVE blogging, but I don’t read so many blogs. Or when I do, it’s really because I’m looking for inspiration, and new styles, and when that happens, I go from blog to blog thanks to the blogrolls.

On a daily basis though, there’s only a few blogs that I check out, either for style inspiration (mostly) and for the fun to look at it.

Style by Kling

I really like her style, which is very swedish (lots of basic pieces) and sometimes, she brings out the unexpected in some outfits, either with a bag, a hat, shoes, tee…

And I really love the way she styles herself: her hairstyle, the make up (wish is almost not there),…

AfterDRK

She’s got the same kind of style than Elin Kling, but still is different. I find her more « accessible » in a way. She has a more normal body (Elin looks more like a model, and like all model, everything fits her), and her clothes are more often coming from accessible shops, which barely never happens with Elin.

Sabrina has a really really cool style, a little boyish, casual but always very polished. I LOVE her « new » hairstyle (I really wish I had straigh hair to be able to pull this off). She always stays true to her own style, we a hint of trend, but always staying very herself. A also really like the barely no make up thing going on.

The Man Repeller

Last but definitly not least, Leandra Medine. Her style is crazy, and really over the top (definitly even more after looking at Sabrina’s and Elin’s styles). I love how shes dresses, the colors, the prints, the pieces she chooses to match together. It’s crazy but guess what, it works! Plus, her writing is very very funny, you never get tired of it!

The best of it? When she makes videos: HILARIOUS

How about you guys now, who’s your inspiration? And what blog do you read on a daily basis?

xx

Trend-y

Hello guys!

We all know how cool H&M Trend has become (or always been?), and as another proof, here is a preview of what they got for us next spring/summer

Always dreamed of wearing the perfect androgyne men’s suit… this one may be it!

I absolutely LOVE this suit!

This is, what I believe to be, one of the masterpiece of the season

One of my favorites!

Minimalistic, yet beautiful

What do you think of it?

Inspiration

Hey guys!

Today some inspirational pictures and looks spotted on fashion blogs and streetstyle blogs.

I’m sorry for not having much « personnal » post lately, such has outfits, my critics and points of views, but I’ve had very little time to myself lately. Still, I’m not forgetting you, and already writing down a post I hope you’ll like :)

For now, let’s get inspired!

Happy feet

Ola chikitas!

How was your weekend? Very good I hope!

Mine was hum…tiring. I worked a lot, which explains why I did not post on friday, sorry about that. Today I am more than exausted, close to collapse on my desk, see what I mean?

Let’s talk business now: lately I’ve had some shoes revelation. Indeed, I’ve never been really « into » shoes. You know how some girls can go crazy on a pair of shoes, and you’re just like « ugh?!? » ? And go, « why do you care, have you seen that kick ass dress back there? » well that’s me. Or at least, that WAS me. I would go much easier on clothes than on shoes. I use to rather have a big bunch of clothes and just a few pair that could match with everything…

But things are changing little by little… and shoes are becoming a bigger part of my closet.

When going on my press day « tour », I went a little crazy on the shoes! Because let me tell you, next summer’s collection has some eye candies for us! Check it out

I know you all secretly LOVE these! They’re awesome!

DYING for these!

Paul Smith rocking the androgynity

These rocking beauties are Geox, can you believe that?

So, which pair is your favorite?

And, are you more a shoes or clothes addict?

xx
