I’m finally back with the next, and last step from my Bali trip: Canggu (pronounced “tchangou”).
I picture Canggu more like an area than a village, because even there’s a small village, everything else is spreaded. It’s very close to Seminyak, about a 15min motorbike drive.
I ended up there because the friends I met at the beginning of my trip lived around there, and it sounded more quiet than Seminyak. I quickly found a guesthouse that looked pretty cool… and I met two germans coming back from Nusa Lembongan as well, and they were going to that place so… I gave it a go! And dammn what a good decision!
The Serenity Eco Guest House is exactly what I needed. Calm, a great location (5min walk from the beach), it has Yoga, Meditation, a restaurant that serves fresh, healthy and alkalin food. It’s not over expensive, rooms are cute and clean. And last but not least… it has a pool!
My second hotspot for Canggu is the Watercress cafe.
It’s actually located in between Canggu and Seminyak. It’s a little cafe that serves delicious and healthy food, a bunch of different salads and yummy fresh juices. Everything looks really incredible.
The place is also pretty cool, a part of the café is actually open.
The street where it’s located is also pretty cool, there’s a bunch of cool restaurant and shops!
Next stop is the Old Man’s bar, facing the beach.
There’s probably way too many Australian to my taste (even though it’s really enjoyable to look at), but the view and the atmosphere is pretty cool, lay low. You’re facing the sea, and the surfers hitting the waves. At sunset it gives one of the most amazing view.
Since I have a lot more to show you, it’s coming in my next post!
